More organisations are working together in partnerships; to tackle complex problems, share resources or draw on differing expertise. When organisations choose to work together towards common aims, it is important that all parties share the same vision and understanding from the outset. • supporting the set up and review of the ‘One Teams’, multi-disciplinary partnership including police officers, social workers and housing staff working in deprived communities in Somerset
• creating a receptive environment for Bristol City Council to discuss closer working arrangements with major local housing associations
• facilitating the establishment of two community area partnerships as the foundation of new governance arrangements for Wiltshire Council
• undertaking a strategic review of Taunton Deane’s partnership with Tone Leisure, its local leisure trust
• project managing the transfer of Torbay Council’s housing stock to housing association responsibility
• organising staff and management away days for Local Strategic Partnerships in Exeter and Taunton Deane
• designing and organising a housing strategy conference for Torbay Council
• training staff from voluntary organisations to work in partnership initiatives
